Takbology 101: Christmas Edition – A Celebration of Running, Giving, and Community

On December 22, 2019, the inaugural Takbology 101: Christmas Edition took place at Pamana Hall in San Pablo City, Laguna. Organized by Dr. Richard Allen A. Ramos through RGC Events Management, the event was more than just a fun run—it was a heartfelt initiative aimed at promoting healthy living, supporting education, and boosting local tourism.

Promoting Health and Community Spirit

Takbology 101 was designed to inspire individuals of all ages to embrace a healthier lifestyle through running. Participants had the option to join 3K, 5K, or 10K races, making the event accessible to both beginners and seasoned runners. Beyond the physical activity, the event fostered a sense of community and shared purpose among attendees.

Supporting Education and Local Tourism

A significant portion of the event's proceeds was dedicated to assisting the students of MASA ATI School in Caticlan, reflecting Dr. Ramos’s commitment to education and social responsibility. Additionally, by hosting the event in San Pablo City—known as the City of Seven Lakes—the organizers aimed to highlight and promote the area’s natural beauty and tourist attractions.

Inclusive Registration Packages

Participants received various items as part of their registration, enhancing the overall experience:

• 3K: Singlet, medal, race bib, certificate, and sponsor loot
• 5K: All 3K items plus a head buff
• 10K: All 3K items plus a finisher shirt

Registration Details

The registration fees were set at P450 for 3K, P650 for 5K, and P850 for 10K. Interested participants could register online, through bank deposit, or via GCash. For more information, individuals were encouraged to contact the organizers directly.
